Kasole Secrets is a Tanzanian company formed in
2013. It innovated and produces bamboo made sanitary napkins for girls and
women. It has also performed a number of NGO funded projects in menstrual
hygiene area.
Our passion is to empower girls and young women
through menstrual hygiene management (MHM) education programs in primary and
secondary schools. Kasole Secrets has been working with medical students from
Tanzania Medical Students Association, who volunteers their time and train students
in those schools. The company has a total of 50 volunteers who run
the menstrual agenda to both boys and girls in schools, but also trained a
total of 150 trainees from Lake Zone; Southern Tanzania and Dar-es-salaam.
Kasole Secrets is also running the nationwide Menstrual Hygiene Campaign (Hedhi Salama) in Tanzania, appealing to the community to play a role in supporting women and girls in the management of their menstruation with dignity where we collaborate with key stakeholders such as Ministry of Education and Vocation Training, Ministry of Health, Community development, Gender, Elderly and Children and other partners such as UNICEF, WATER AID, PLAN INTERNATIONAL, WSSCC, ACRACCS, GIZ & SNV who work direct with these ministries.
We have also partnered with let's talk about Sex an initiative from Australia and hence adopt their teaching content on menstrual hygiene management and puberty, that proved success in Ethiopian Schools.
Kasole Secrets run, Pamoja Clubs in schools where we educate boys and girls together on menstrual hygiene management and puberty, we partnered with Tanzania Medical Students Association and Tanzania Association of People Living with Disabilities to deliver the concept of Pamoja Clubs in schools.
Kasole Secrets is also working as Menstrual Hygiene Management consultants for Local and International NGOs. Where we have worked with Compassion International, Femina Hip, Lune OY Group, Feza Alumni Foundation, Tanzania League of the Blind, Rotaractors- young professionals and Ace-Africa
We have been receiving number of National and International awards, including being the number one SME with most impacted product in the Community, Attending the Women Venture Exchange program in Nairobi-under Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), Facilitated the menstrual hygiene workshop in Nyarugusu refugee camp- this workshop was organized by TWESA and UNHCR, Selected to participate in 2016 and 2017 Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Silicon Valley-USA and Hyderabad-India, Attending the co-creation workshop on Let girls learn Initiative that was conducted by USAID, Attending the Mandela Washington Fellowship under Business and Entrepreneurship track, Attending the UNICEF Innovation Summit in Helsinki-Finland, Participated on the 2015/2016 planning for development of the country under the President's office planning commission, CEO- Hyasintha Ntuyeko was recognized as Queen of Power 2016, for the efforts done by Kasole Secrets in advocating for women/girls health and well being in Tanzania.
In 2017 Hyasintha was selected as the young entrepreneur of the year where she received that award in Capetown- South Africa, however in the same year Hyasintha was registered by Engineering Registration Board (ERB)as the professional engineer
